It's official, Thomas and the girls finished their first year of school in Pittsburgh with flying colors this past June and while, I may have been a bit to distracted to post about all the going on's I definately wanted to take a minute to re-visit a few of the things that happened at the end of the year.
Alli was asked to participate in the All City Honors Choir, it required her to devote 3 hours of every Saturday for 6 weeks straight to prepare for it, and in the end the performance truly was great. There was even a song about Pittsburgh Schools being the greatest school ever, luckily I purchased a DVD of the program so we can enjoy it for years to come. I really am so impressed with Alli and her desire to perform, her willingness to practice at it and devote her time to it, it is definitely paying off.
Claire was able to take guitar this year and enjoyed performing. She was brave enough to perform in the school talent show after only having 2 lessons and also participated in the some band concerts through out the year. She is itching to get her hands on an electric guitar but we keep on insisting that she practice a bit more before we allow her that privelege.
Ainsley's 2nd grade class put on an end of the year play with the school's music teacher. I have to see it was probably the cutest play I have ever seen in my entire left and it left me with my heart full after seeing it. Ainsley was so excited and woke up early that morning and specifically wore a green dress so that her role as a flower would be more complete. Awh I love second grade.
A few weeks ago I was thinking about how fast this whole experience has gone by, the first few months seemed so slow, and were difficult but it seemed when January finally came time has flown. We are now down to 10 months here, and while I'm getting excited to have a more "settled" in life I'm also a bit sad because we've come to love this community, our ward, and even Pittsburgh.

Aw. Back to posting! Love it. Although I miss you. What talented girlies. I don't know if any of mine would perform. They're too nervous!
10 months! That's going to fly!
Dude, I have to figure out a way to get your updates. I must check your RSS feed or something. I've become far too dependent on my google reader and my private blog reading has suffered.
