Cinco de marathono

Thomas achieved his 5th marathon at the beginning of May. Man what a stud.
Here's the only picture I got of him from it, which only occurred because he was kind enough to wait for me and the girls for TEN minutes at a crossroad on the course.
We wanted to be there to cheer him on but since the close down the whole city for the marathon we had to walk a mile and a half to get there. He called a few miles before he was going to be at the crossroad and I pleaded and begged and coerced the kids to hurry on their way and then slave drove them up the hills to get there. Making them run with me on all the down hill parts to speed up the pace. I was running so quickly at some points the wheels on Rainier's stroller went hay wire making it hard to proceed. Too bad the extra effort didn't pay off. What a nice guy to wait for us. I'm not sure I would have had the patience to do it.

I'm so proud of him for his determination and work ethic in all this running business the past few months he averaged at least 50 miles a week, yikes 50 miles. That's some serious studliness.

Wow. Impressive. I've never run 50 miles PERIOD, let alone in one week.
