The first Halloween in this house my kids looked like this....so, so little.
Now they have grown, and I'm a little sad. How has the time gone by so fast?
Our first Halloween here, was by far my absolute favorite, especially as far a costumes go. I had dollar fabric from
Walmart, some face paint and hair spray, and
wha-la spooky ghosts formed with some scissors and the stapler I had on hand in about 15 minutes. We got quite a few comments about these get-ups.
This year was fun too though, we had some hand made things, along with store bought. I do enjoy a little creativity.
The girls wanted to do Alice in Wonderland, inspired by the play they were just in.

Rainier in the role of the White Rabbit. He wasn't too happy about the ears, I think he must have been having flashbacks of Easter. I made them with an old
hoodie of his, awhite receiving blanket, a bit of fur, store bought ears, and lots and lots of glue. I do love glue.

Ainsley taking the role of the Queen of Hearts quite seriously. She refused to smile saying the Queen of Hearts is mean and telling me she is going to cut off my head. What a sweet heart. Notice her beautiful staff handmade by my good friend Tammi...thanks! And a dollar silver crown turned gold along with a heart glittered up to bring the theme home.

Claire was a little confused about her role as the
Mad Hatter. She was a little disturbed when I told her it was
mad like crazy. She was sure he was just mad at someone. Too bad I forgot to tie on her neck tie for the pictures...it sort of pulled everything together a bit better.

Had to take a close up pic of this fabulous hat, made from a plastic plate,
poster board, a tea cup from goodwill, a BUTTON, some ribbon, and some spray paint, oh and, lots and lots of glue too. Whew!

Little Miss Alice her self. I must say almost a spitting image of the real Alice.

And finally, the whole cast.
Twas a fun and beautiful production.

Cute costumes! I remember the three ghosties... that was a very creative idea. I'm still in awe. :)
Oh man, you're so clever! We never do themes, we just go with whatever they're willing to put on. you're awesome.
I never did see those ghosties...sad. Rainier's and Claire's hats turned out amazing. Way to go and use that glue!
I love that Ainsley played her part so well too! That is quite important.
