I returned home one day last week to this note on my fridge, and guess what it was after 11:34.
I've been writing her letters for lunch the past 2 weeks, per her request...what do you say to a third grader on a full sheet of computer paper 14 days in a row and counting?
Lot's I guess.
I want her to feel secure and loved.
Quite honestly she is the one that feels the least loved.
I try, I really do, I give her the same if not a bit more attention and sometimes its just not enough.
Today though I was able to spend most of the day with her, unfortunately it was due to the stomach flu, but it's always nice to be able to have a little extra time to snuggle with her and give her some undivided attention.
I really do pray that when she is older she'll be able to look back and see how hard we try, how much we love her, and how happy we are that she is part of our family.
She's such a great kid.

Oh man, I can tell this is what's coming up next for my middle child. I sometimes get annoyed because she does get more attention most of the time. When you figure out the magic cure, let me know. I'll pay cash.
Sigh....it's so hard sometimes. I really, really wish they came with a manual. Good luck!
I had the same delema with lunch notes last year :)
Good luck, she will realize it when she has her own, and she wiil look back at the great job did with her
She just wants to show off how totally cool you are.
P.S.
I will be at my house for lunch at 11:40 tomorrow. If I am not there you can find me, well I am always home now.
