Stairway to Seven....maybe next time.

I was warned when I moved here,

and a few short weeks after school started I had to take heed to the warning....
We live in Steelers Country, the land of black and gold.
I was promptly advised to buy Steelers gear for the girls so they wouldn't feel left out at school, I tried to resist but after getting 3 automated phonecalls from the school about black and gold day I knew I had to give in. I was shocked when I received another phone call last week saying that there would be a 2 hour delay the day after the Super Bowl, so the kids could fully enjoy the game.
I will never feel guilty again about my kids ditching school out here, especially if the school district allows it for football games and hangovers....this place is awesome!

So we had some friends over for a Super Bowl party to help us bask in Pittsburgh-mania.

We were put to shame by these Steelers fans....
and probably about 50% of the members at church on Sunday, it was truly a sea of black and gold.

Ice cream sundaes always make up for a loss....
here's to next year!

Lame. I like football as much as the next person, but this seems to be taking it a little too far. Although the party DOES look fun. Any excuse for a party is okay with me.

I agree with the above comment...a little much maybe. Not your party of course...it looks perfect!

That is GREAT! Things like loosing the Super Bowl always seem to bring a community together. We usually take the day after Sunday off too, just because we can. And sometimes the day after Tuesday. Just kidding! You know me better than that, we may work straight through summer, (insert evil laugh). Happy Valentines Day!!

That's so funny. Our schools here close for the rose parade (the alamo battle) and I think it's so funny. But hey, whatever to get them all to sleep in a bit!

I sure enjoy your posts. You are so funny and your family looks great. Your little guys is just getting so big. I love the two year old stage. Their little voices are so cute and the funniest things entertain them. Glad to see things are going well. I hope that Claire will feel better soon, that's really hard. I have one of those (Cole) that was just like that.
