Best Valentine Ever

So this year Ainsley and Claire were very adamant that Thomas wasn't my Valentine, that he was theirs, and that infact he was the best Valentine ever and Alli was silly for trying to find herself a "boy" valentine (which I believe for the 4th year in the row she was successful).
I got out the tissue paper and decorated for fun, you know I always like a party.

And the girl's dad cheated on them a bit, by allowing me to partake of their Valentines Day Dinner that he made; rack of lamb, poleneta and a tangerine, cranberry red swiss chard. It was quite delicious.

The girls each received a card Valentines morning from Thomas saying that he was going to surprise them with a special date that night.  OOOOOhhh they were so excited and  were guessing and guessing and guessing where they were going. They were a little surprised that I was coming along as well, but the let it slide, they must really love me.

We drove downtown and they were completely perplexed as to where we were going, finally we arrived at an outdoor skating rink, right in the middle of some of Pittsburghs most famous skyscrapers.
They were absolutelyTHRILLED.

By the end of the night everyone caught on pretty well how to skate, except for Rainier of course, that may have something to do with the fact that he's only 2 and his skates were 3 sizes to big, but he had a blast anyways.

And by the end of the night my Valentine Date had turned into a mock Yoda, a radio station was hosting the event and he "won" a t-shirt and insisted on wearing it... :)

It really was such a fun night. There is no other way I would want to spend the day of love, then with the critters I absolutely love the most on this earth.

Oh what fun!! That's hysterical about the girls and Thomas being only their Valentine. And I totally thought Yoda when I saw Rainier.

What a fun outing!! I'm jealous.

Awe, your blogs are always so great! I mostly refer to peoples blogs as "historical fiction", but yours are so heartfelt and genuine! I love you sis! This post made me cry - you guys are such great parents!

What a guy! Giving all of his girls a Valentine's date and flowers? THAT is the cutest thing I've ever seen.
