So

For some reason last week was the LONGEST week ever.
Don't ask me why, maybe it was all the rain, maybe it was the positioning of the moon, or maybe it was because I was super grumpy, but my gosh, it was a LONG week.

Monday started with a croupy cough from Ainsley which in turn made it so she couldn't go to school.
I MADE her stay home, and she was very upset with me.
What kid is mad at their parents for making them miss school?

Tuesday, let Ainsley go to school...
have no clue what else was done that day,
just a slight recognition that it was a LONG day.

Wednesday, Took the kiddies to school, came home and Thomas slept in late and needed me to be his personal chaueffer. Sweet, only problem is my favorite gym class is on Wednesdays which means I don't have enough time to go home and chill between dropping him and when my class starts, so that meant Rainier and I drove around the scenic city of Pittsburgh for a half an hour till the gym daycare opens up.
Of course, yes of course, right as I pull into the parking garage I receive a call from a very angry school nurse asking me to pick Ainsley up from school because she has pink eye and its super contagious.
So, I chaueffer myself out of the parking garage and to Ainsley's school where I pick her up and chill with her until her doctors appoint.
Which by the way Rainier, LOVES to take his sisters to the doctors, we've gone twice with Claire and he happily says "Take Claire to doctors? Take Claire to doctors?"  over and over again and happily runs through the doctors office doors, runs through the hall, and climbs up on the examination beds as if he owns the entire place.
Anyhow back to Ainsley who receives a note from the physician that she was in fact seen and a perscription.  Has this society become so mistrusting that we now need notes from actual doctors offices proclaiming truth? I even got asked if I needed one for missing work. I gladly accepted it and didn't cook dinner or do the dishes and presented it to Thomas when he got home.

Hump day over, onto Thursday.
Which was a remarkable day, no rain, and it was warm.
Spent a few good hours at the park with friends, and watching Rainier convince other moms to put him in the swings and push him. That kid can charm any one and thus embarrass me to no end.
LONG afternoon,
which hit its climax when I received a phone call from a neighbor informing me that Claire had sprained her wrist and was it okay if he brought her home.
Oh Claire...she came home, in considerable pain, and I "jimmyed" up a homemade splint out of card board and an ace bandage. I should be a girl scout I think.
Anyways turns out Ainsley and her friend were pushing on a gate one way and Claire was pushing on the other side and then she heard a snap.
Delightful. Apart from Ainsley hurting her sisters wrists, it was an accident I know but I like to tease that kid, she also hit Alli in the face with a shoe that day. I am trying to teach her violence isn't the answer.

Friday...spent 4 lovely hours in the Pittsburgh Childrens Hospital.
(It's quite a nice hospital if I do say so myself)

and that was pretty much the end to my LONG LONG week.

Why do some weeks just fly by when others drag along? If you know would you let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Wooosh...that was a long, eventful week, eh?! Pink eye and a cast. Seems very familiar to me. We must've had a similar combination at our house before. Good luck!

Weeks full of cast and sick kids are never fun. Sorry! And I too LOVE the note from the DR. I need me one of those so I can be excused from all my motherly duties for a day :)
