School Is In!

School started last Monday and the girls could not wait. They were so excited for school to start that they were up bright and early ready to go.
Claire is now in first grade and has a new teacher Mrs. Rockey. Claire says that she is super nice and looks forward to going to school everyday. A big surprise for me already was I found out Claire totally can read, and well. What kind of bad mother am I that I didn't even know that my child couldread? We were doing homework this week and she read me a whole book litterally all by herself. She really is a smarty pants!
Alli is a big third grader and is as happy as I am, that she has her old Kindergartner teacher Mrs. Maloney this year. We just love her! She was also Claire's Kindergartner teacher so hopefully Claire will luck out like Alli and get her in third grade too! Alli is already doing a great job keeping track of her homework and doing it all on her own....oh the joys of having kids becoming a bit more independent!
I can't believe that my baby girl is a kindergartner now. She has Mrs. Connelly as her teacher and couldn't be happier that she gets to go to school like her sisters. They do full day kindergarten here and I have caught her a few times after school taking a nap.:) Ainsley loves her teacher, and I can tell, listens to every word she says. One day last week she came home with a little assignment to do and her teacher must have said "Here is your homework for the night." because Ainsley really wanted to do it but wouldn't touch it because it wasn't night time yet. I thought it was so cute that she was obeying the rules so adamantly.
I can't believe my 3 little girls are in school. I remember when they were toddlers just dreaming of the day when they would all be in school, and I have to say it has come way too quickly. I miss them a lot during the day but am so glad that they are so happy and love school so much.

Emily, Thanks. It is crazy that they're all in school. I thought I'd have a ton of down time with them gone and be bored but I am seriously busy every day. It's probably because I'm trying to get ready for the baby and have DR's appt.s every week but it hasn't slowed down yet.

Cute pictures. Avery is the same as Ainsley, she already has Mrs. Connelly vocabulary. She comes home sounding exactly like her and takes everything she says very seriously and literally. I'm glad she's a good teacher saying nice things, because I'm pretty sure we'd know if she wasn't! I'm so glad she has friends in class too, it makes it easier.

Wow, those are my preschoolers. They grow up so fast! But I don't feel old at all. I am Thirty (something), Flirty, and Thriving. Just kidding, I am so proud of them and not surprised at all at their Happy faces and love for school. They are terrific girls.
