Ains

Ainsley's 6th birthday was last Sunday the 14th, however we decided to celebrate it on Saturday the 13th since we would be traveling on her birthday.
For some reason a new tradition has started of opening up presents at the crack of dawn on my bed, they must be practicing for Christmas.

She awoke to this beautiful streamer chandelier...they were all very impressed with my skills. :)
Oh the magic of birthdays and streamers I want to be 6 again....really badly.

This year also, the girls have been requesting their cakes to be made in character. Ainsley, showing her true witt, requested a birthday cake that looked like Rainier. Apparently playing off of me always saying I want to eat Rainier up.

Well I guess you can say we literally ate him up. Can you see the resemblance? Is it a little odd that Rainier even had a few bites of him self? I hope we all don't turn into cannibals because he did taste so yummy.

Awwwhhh my sweet 6 year old.

Sunday we traveled down to California, my brother was called to be in the bishopric,

and my nephew, Rhett, graduated from high school. He was a bit sleepy when I snapped this photo.

My dad came down for the festivities and the kids had a great time seeing him.

And had an amazingly fun time playing with all of their California cousins.

On Tuesday we headed off to Disneyland to end Ainsley and Claire's birthday celebrations. It was super crowded, and super crazy, but it was worth it because of the extra time I got to spend with my nephews. I wish we lived closer by because they are all such fun, delightful kids and it always seems like I never really get to enjoy them on our quick visits. The girls were crying Wednesday as we were packing up saying "Why can't we live in California next to our cousins, it's no fair!" I loved it and I loved the fact that they can pick up and get along so well with each other.

So as a farewell to Disneyland, a picture of my tuckered out little baby. The magic is gone from Disneyland for the time being, I'm tuckered out from it too...let's see if the magic picks back up in the fall when our annual passes have available days again, I think Alli is wanting to go there for her birthday too...blah.

That cake kills me! Super cute and funny all rolled into one chubby baby cake! I'm glad he liked to eat his likeness.

I do love that cake! That took some serious talent, watch out Michelle Bolender!

OOoh fun! You were at Disneyland the same time as my brother and his in-laws, wonder if you saw each other? They had shirts that had Mickey on them and said "DisNEALand" (last name is Neal). Looks like a really fun trip!

Mickey Mouse get's old? So does Shamu! Love the cake I was confused as to why you stuck a candle in Ranier so I am glad you explained that it wasn't really him. I had fun Tuesday, sorry about the crazy rampage it is something that I am working on.
