A friend called inviting Ainsley and Claire to spend the night last night, and since it was so close to Ainsley's Birthday and she desperately wanted to celebrate with said friends I decided we could have a quick tea party the next morning.
I scored these tea cups at the Good Will last month and was happy to recycle them for a second
tea party.

The setting was well approved by the little girls.

Complete with heart shaped
watermelon pieces.

Tiny peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Dinosaur chicken nuggets.

These petite pies...

cut up into sampler pieces to try each kind.

The lovely guests.

Pinky's up.

I played Betty
Crocker for the role of hostess with the mostess, and was pleasantly surprised by the politeness of the young ladies.

The opening of the gifts...I love how they're all squished in trying to see and help.

Then an impromptu slip 'n slide session.

Which left the Birthday girl a tad upset, because she didn't want to get wet. Look at that tear coming down her eye.

Not to worry Betty
Crocker offered whip cream squirts in the mouth and saved the day.
Oh what a fun day of giggles, whispers, good food and great friends!

that looks so fun, love the watermelon! where'd you get your cute tray-thing with the sandwiches and stuff on it? love those teacups too.
Looks so authentic! I think next time I am feeling tears I am going to give you a call in hopes that I too will get a whip cream squirt. YUMMY!!
the juxtaposition of polite ladyness for the tea pary with fun little girl-ness for the slip-n-slide is so charming! i love how they're all holding their little cups with both hands. what a fun birthday party!!
Great party.. Tea time is always delightful. I love the heart watermelon, my favorite. I am seriously lovin' Alli's cards. Quite clever young lady. Glad your back. Tammi
They had so much fun...and they can be polite when they want to be. Amazing, huh?
