Now

There are noises at my house now, fridge humming, fans going, dog snoring, inducing a noisy silence. It's calm, it's peaceful, every few hours there is a baby crawling, mumbling, eventually squawking. There is time to do dishes before more dishes are made dirty, time to do laundry before more are thrown into the hamper, time to enjoy some cleanliness for awhile. It's odd. It's nice. It's exhilarating. It's lonely too.

There's no more annoyance at the grocery store. No more saying "Because I said so." No more tattle tales, no more whines, there are no more fights. There are no more sweet smiles, no more laughs and giggles, no more late morning snuggles in bed. There are no more instant babysitters for Rainier, no more songs being sung, and no more little helpers running around.

No need to worry, all of the above will be in the opposite as of 3:30 pm every week day after my girls get home from school.

Yep, it's a love/hate thing. I'm sad they are growing up...but it's good to have a little more quiet time too.

I wonder why they start so early in Phoenix? Seems like they'd want kids to be at home during the hottest months of the year. Weird.

Alli looks like she will be attending East High home of the Wildcats. You know the one right? This is how I state my current being at home condition, bitter "SWEET".
