My Sweet Alli.
Sometime last year Alli came to me and we had a nice little discussion. She said "You know mom, I've been thinking. I've been thinking that I don't like how I feel when you ask me to do something and I don't do it. So from now on when you ask me to do something I'm just going to go ahead and do it." Amazingly enough she has kept her word. I will ask her to do something and she will get right up and do it, and 99% of the time there isn't even a complaint that follows it.
I'm not so sure its okay for a mother to be so dependant upon her daughter but honestly, sometimes I don't know what I would do with out her. Alli is my right hand, she happily takes Rainier, feeds him breakfast, play baby school with him, and occasionally will even change his diapers. She helps out immensely with her sisters, in being friends with them, "ignoring them" when asked, and showing them the way.
I am so thankful for my first child, I'm thankful for her smiles, for her sweet tempered heart, and for her desire to be obedient. I truly believe that her desire to serve and obey is something that came with her long before she came to our family, and I know that this trait of hers will serve her well through out her lifetime.
As a little treat, Alli and I were invited out to the Midnight Premiere of Alice in Wonderland.
Yes, on a school night we rebelled against all good motherly logic and allowed our 4th graders out for a night a fun.
We were just along for the ride.
She made it through the whole movie, went to bed at 2:30 a.m. and was up promptly at 7 a.m. for school. What a champion.

She is a sweet girl. And I depend on mine a lot too. I'm sad I missed the movie with you guys...
It was lots of fun, and great the next day. if mine started to act up in any way related to tired I just had to look at him and he would take a deep breath and calmly proced with what ever he was saying.
WOW! She went to school the next day? Amazing. You're so lucky to have such a sweet girl.
How fun! Those memories are what make hearts happy. I am glad that you took her, and it sounds like she well deserved it. I hope that she continues to be obediant...well into her teenage years (we can only hope!)
Was the movie any good? Creepy?
So Sweet! That made me cry. I hope my boys will be like that too. Alli needs to come teach them a trick or two.
Oh my gosh jolene, I am practically bawling. She is such a good kid, and I love her to death, and I love that she said that and acted on it. We are lucky ladies. It was a good time. Tammi
