Claire is EIGHT....
well on the 30th she will be.
Since Thomas and I will be gone on her actual Birthday we celebrated a week early.
Claire didn't seem too disappointed by that aspect of the deal.
Opening presents a whole week early wasn't a bad deal at all.
And since, she's been begging me for about 2 years, getting her ears pierced a whole week early at her favorite store "CLAIRE'S" seemed just about perfect to her.
The end result was of course, Magnificent!
Blarring Justin Beiber on the stereo during the ride home pretty much put her in Heaven and the two other girls were right there with her as well, although they were trying to pretend like they weren't that into it. But I am here to let you know that they were all singing along like there was no tomorrow.
Tommy had Claire choose where we should go for dinner.
And Rainier was in heaven then because we were outside on the patio, and I was in bliss because everyone was content and happy.
After dinner Tommy took the girls to a movie and Rain and I chilled at home for the evening.
All Claire could say was:
"Thanks for the best birthday ever!"
"I have the best family."
"If I could choose between my family and my friends family I would probably choose our family."
"I love you guys so much!"
"I love you guys so much!"
I was a little startled with her appeasement, but
I'm so glad that she was so enthralled with her birthday, we love her so much.

What a fun birthday! Where are you and Thomas going to be?
My sister let her eight-year-old get her ears pierced and noticed last week that the backs of the earrings were INSIDE her ear. She either pulled too hard on them or the skin got infected and grew over it, but needless to say THAT eight year old does not want to wear earrings for a loooong time. Luckily her husband is a doctor so he had no trouble digging them out.
