For some reason October approached and I convinced myself I could sew.
Every now and then I do that to myself and then after a few thousand hours of attempts I quite frankly remember I can not. After a lot of cutting, seam ripping, re-sewing, and maybe even safety pinning a few items, oh and stressing a bunch I was done. Whew! What we came up with was this....
Flapper girl Claire, complete with fishnet stockings.
A devil. Ainsley absolutely insisted on being a devil.
Artemis the Greek goddess of hunting and the night.
I was quite impressed with Alli, she made her own bow and arrows all by herself.
And...no sewing necessary Twins...we did have to cut Thomas' wig of shoulder length hair, that was a stringy mess for sure.
For some reason about 20 minutes before we left Thomas decided to shave his goatee. I may have had a little meltdown after that discovery. I hadn't done anything for Rainier and this was my only idea, luckily penciled in goatees work on young and old alike.
The twins enjoyed handing out candy at our ward trunk or treat and snacking on it too.
Check out that sweet candy bag I made for Rainier right before we left, that's a little bat in the corner there.
Rainier's first ever trick or treating experience.
It went quite well I might add.
We went to a Halloween Party after the ward trunk or treat.
These are our AWARD WINNING costumes, quite frankly I think Thomas rode my shirt tails all the way.
Thanks to Candie for her costume idea from last year. :)
The Real Housewives of Pittsburgh.
All of our husbands started the Carnegie MBA program at the same time. Its quite extraordinary to have 4 mormons in the same ward attending the business program.
I might be a bad influence on them, I'm not sure though.

Then Halloween Evening our friends hosted us for quite a delightful feast featuring appetizers, chili, cornbread and pumpkin pie. Quite delightful indeed.

I love it! Everyone looks great and you did a great job on the sewing....as far as I can see!
Alli and Brynna look so similar...it cracks me up! I'll have to show Brynna.

Oh man, you guys are FUN. That dinner sure looks pretty!
Love the sewing! and if you figure out a way to sew without tons of frustration, please let me know. I always say I spend WAY more time with my seam ripper than actually at my machine. :)
You have made yourself quite at home! I love how you just went out there, made friends, and how much you are influencing everyone around to part-ee!
So good to see you and your family are making friends. I am quite sure you are a bad influence on them, you get that from me. Or was that me from you? Hmmmm?
