Spoiled Baby

Alright I am just going to come right out and say it:

I am a spoiled baby....

I think Rainier might have inherited this face from me.

Friday night I threw a bit of a fit (I wonder why my kids do it?)

I wanted to go out to dinner and Tommy, who was tired and had a bit on his mind, didn't feel up to it. I was bugged, I wanted to go because I was bored (don't I sound like a 2 year old?). Anyways he was tired from I don't know what, maybe getting up at 4:30 in the morning and working all day and I, on the other hand was not tired from a whole day of shopping up at the outlets.

Boo-hoo me I know, so I took my camera outside, and this little girl followed me. She is my buddy ya know.

And so we had bunches of fun taking pictures of each other and I had bunches of fun tickling her and capturing her real smile.

Then this cute girl found us and wanted in on some of that fun action too. So I tickled her a bit until I got her real smile... too bad you can't see the other side of her face where her dimple is because I love it! She gets it from her dad.

Finally I had to have Ainsley run in and find Claire, she couldn't miss out on this. She was a bit harder to get to smile. She takes photos very seriously and has been blessed to be very photogenic, but alas I finally got a silly smile and let her out of my tickling arms.

Wait a minute wasn't I angry about something...I can't remember now.

Then these two fellas came and treated us with their delightful company on the trampoline.

And this little guy cheesed it up big time for me...he always does.
We had fun jumping, hula-hooping, and climbing trees.
Why did I think we needed to go somewhere to be entertained?
Probably because I am a big spoiled baby.

Then my poor mechanic husband spent the whole next day fixing my truck. Something about the drive shaft, he's pretty talented you know and saved himself $1000 bucks. So he worked on this until about 2 in the morning while during the day taking little breaks from this to prepare for the ever impending holiday of Mothers....
I stink, I know.
So while I came home and took a NAP after church, my husband who was up till 2 in the morning was cooking me a Mothers Day dinner.
(He looks angry in this picture, I promise you he's not)

Look at that Rack of Lamb with a Pistachio Tepenade.

Delicious I tell ya, delicious. Fresh fruit salad and rice pilaf too.
It's official I am spoiled!

I hope he knows he made me be this spoiled.

Last night Thomas and I were talking about how truly beautiful are lives are, how blessed we are, and wondering why we have been given this life. We have 4 beautiful, healthy children, a stable job (for now anyways), a home of our own, an eternal marriage, and the gospel all intertwined to make our existence safe and steady. We have been given a great piece of the kingdom here on this earth, I only hope that in the time to come we will be able to show our gratitude for it.

And thanks Thomas I had a wonderful Wife's Day...you're too good to me.

I am already loving your blog! It is so random and full of everyday stuff. I looked long and hard and did find that popular michelin tire baby shot...so perfect:)

I also thought your blog about the yearbook was hilarious...seriously, what were we thinking back in Jr High when all you could write was, "2 cool 2 be 4 gotten?"

so funny:)

What a great post. I love reminders like these to just so enjoy your family. You are such a good mama. I know how ya feel, though. I love to get out of the house and sometimes Bret is ready to just chill after work. But what a fun afternoon. You are such a wonderful family!
