I'll admit that January has been a slow month, and you know what? It's kind of nice. There's something about the hustle and bustle of December that makes me welcome the idleness of January. My shopping itches were scratched raw by the monotony of hitting Target two times a day for Christmas shopping and the event calendar went from double duty extravaganza to erased, blank days ahead.
The weather has been cozy, lots of rain (very unusual) and with sickness alike, I have been at home a little more often then usual.
Trying new recipes, some new favorites, and I'll admit a few 'never try agains'.

My sluggish evenings are filled with peace as I cook and the kids fill their time with homework.
Occupying Rainier.
And keeping me good company.
My heart is opened enough that I will decide to share my absolute favorite fruit, pineapple.
And I really won't even get too worried about the mess Rainier is making. Knowing that I just cleaned and mopped the floors and his mess will just be a quick wipe down.
My sluggish evenings are filled with peace as I cook and the kids fill their time with homework.
Oh finding bliss in sluggish January, these truly are days of nothing, which strangely enough equals calmness for me.

Yup it's nice to just hang out.
Man I had alot of catching up to do. Love the Lapse post, and the one of Thomas and his marathon. I love the slow pace that January brings too. Love your girls, and that Alli worked so hard and made the honor roll. Tammi
I agree! Days home with no to do's os a dream for me. I also have enjoyed the peace and don't mind a spill or two either:)
