Great Friends and No Baby Showers!

So for those of you who don't know I despise baby showers, well not for anyone else, but definitely for me! I made those closest to me promise, and I mean PROMISE me that they would in no way throw me a baby shower, especially a surprise baby shower! Probably a little rude of me, especially since I have thrown them baby showers in the past, but luckily they all held true to the promise and it worked out great for me. I had the best time celebrating the upcoming birth of this little boy, in a totally non-blue, balloon and streamer decorated atmosphere....oooohhh and the best part: no games! Thanks girls for putting up with my oddities!

Last Tuesday some girls from the ward took me out to the Cheese Cake Factory. Super fun, super yummy and super delightful. Thanks for all of the gifts! I just got my toes done today and they look beautiful of course. I am sure it will give me something to focus on during labor...hahahaha! Oh and Tammi, how did you snake your way out of this picture? Not fair, maybe I should post some of those, oh so flattering pictures I took of you all in the dark? Nope wouldn't do that to you, but sometime I'll have to share because I know you all are really going to like them!

Thursday my neighbor (sort-of), car pool comrade, and good friend Raeanne took me out to lunch and out for some super yummy, and some incredible frozen yogurt. We had great conversations and a great time. Thanks so much for thinking of me.

Monday my great friend Christy (see pic below) took me out to lunch for some spicy Mexican food. Can a pregnant girl ever complain about Mexican food? I think not. It was delicious and even better held in great company!

These girls are friends of the ages: Amy, Christy, and Jenn. All friends that I met when we first moved here about 7 years ago from Colorado. We've had babies together (not literally of course), birthdays galore, sad times a plenty, couponing a-crazies, dirt poor inventions, and many other great memories that I know will bond us together for life. These girls are great, and while we don't see each other probably as much as we'd like, we can always get together and pick up right where we left off and get along like nothing, the same with our kiddos (especially since my girls are in love with Christy's boys). I love them all so much! Any ways they were sweet enough to arrange a great afternoon to meet and provide the poor pregno-saur (that's me) with a wonderful lunch and great times! Thanks so much girls.

P.S. If you think I have said thanks a lot, it's because I stink at Thank-you's , including Thank-YOU cards. (Yes I have some issues, sorry) But please know I am very grateful to you all!

How lucky am I to have such great friends here in AZ?!!! So stinkin' lucky.

Thomas and I have often talked about how blessed we are to have such true family in our friends here in Arizona. Our kids have been blessed with great "aunt and cousin stand-ins" that truly care for them, and watch out for them and I have been blessed with "sister stand-ins" that are always there for a good laugh, cry, or whatever else may be on my emotional platter for the day. I rarely go a day without talking to one of these good friends, and always know if I ever need anything, they'll be there in a jiff. I hope they know I would do the same for them. Love you all!

pregno-saur: that is the funniest thing I've heard in a while. And I can say that because I feel the same way. I still think you are smart about the non baby shower (not that I didn't LOVE mine) It just feels a little weird...third kid and all. I'm still sad I missed you little outing, looks like you had lots of fun! Only a few more days, then I'll be the lone pregno-saur!
