The man that I love.

WARNING: This blog is entirely about my Thomas, be prepared to be impressed.

This is my husband, his name is Thomas Nelson Gearhart III, he's very stylish and he's very funny. This is him Sunday morning, after putting his hat on and some of my bling.

This is Thomas in San Francisco, he is very generous. He goes there often, I miss him so much when he's gone. One time I was lucky enough to go with him. Thomas always gets ripped off by bums there. He once paid $10 to get his shoes shined for about 5.6 seconds with a rag that I think was full of spit. But shoe shine or not Thomas will always open his wallet to help anyone out if he can.

This is Thomas, he is very good looking, he has a full head of hair now, not because of the Hair Club for Men, but because we went to the wig shop and bought an African American women's wig for $20. He once wore it out all day with me, to Walmart and all. So many people were staring at him and couldn't figure out what was going on and he stood there with a face of steel enjoying the whole thing.

This is Tommy, he likes to hike. This is a picture of us on one of our first dates. We met at the Y . We went hiking to a waterfall on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Tommy is an eagle scout, he always comes prepared. So when it started pouring down rain, he had a change of warm clothes for himself in his backpack, which was also full of other scout things like flashlights and snacks (who would have thought you needed those for a hike). Unfortunately I'm not an eagle scout, so Tommy let me have his nice dry pants to change into. Later after getting married I found out he peeked at me changing, definitely not the eagle scout thing to do.

This is Tommy the dentist, he likes to pull out the girls loose teeth.

Apparently it has always been a tradition at the Gearhart household for Dads to yank them out with dental floss. I had never heard of this before, my teeth would dangle from a single root attached to my gums for days before I would get enough courage to twist it out. The girls don't like this tradition at first, or immediately following, it takes them about 39.8 seconds after the yanking has taken place for them to remember the tooth fairy is coming and all is well.

This is Tommy, he is an awesome sleeper. He could sleep through me being upset and tossing and turning all night long, he could sleep through kids playing a plenty, he could even sleep through church. At least I thought he could, turns out he's just an awesome faker...he told me so the other day. Tommy likes to wake me up in the middle of the night by doing funny things to me, like biting me. I like to color happy faces on his head while he's sleeping before he has to go and speak at church firesides, or record him snoring, just to prove he does I think its fair.

This is Thomas, he can fix anything. This is him a few months after we were married. He 'surprised' me one night by flashing a bunch of cash in my face and asking me if I wanted to roll around in it. Apparently he had already decided that he was going to buy this old SAAB that didn't work and fix it up for himself. I thought we were going to get a divorce...I never saw him, he was always outside fixing that dumb car. Luckily our marriage survived and we sold that car, which I guess I should mention he actually did fix. Thomas really can fix anything, he was fixing toilets around here just this week. He's fixed sprinkler pipes a plenty, ceiling fans a ton, a few garbage disposals that I have disposed improper things into and he's even fixed garage doors that I have hit into. He really is so amazing I couldn't actually list all of the things he's fixed while being married.

This is a page from Thomas' missionary journal (I couldn't surprise him with this blog if I asked him where I could find his missionary photo album). Thomas loves the gospel, and I love him so much for it. He has a strong testimony and a strong sense of why we are here and what he needs to do. He works hard to better himself and he's taught me to be a better person and has given our girls a great love for the gospel too. I am so thankful that he is a worthy priesthood holder and that he brings blessing to our family because of it. He truly is the best.

This is Thomas, he's a hard working man. Thomas went back to school after we had 3 young children and worked full time while earning his degree in Global Management. He'd get up and go to work around 6 am and get home around 10 or 11pm. Thomas did this for us, so we could have a better life and I am so thankful he had the commitment and love to do this for us. It sure sucked but it sure was worth it. He still is hardworking. He works 10 to 12 hour days to make sure his job is done right (he takes pride in his work) and then he comes home to us and works hard for me. He often will make dinner or help around the house even after working long hours just to show us he cares. Thomas is my favorite.

This is my companion Thomas. He is the father of my children. He loves them so much. He wants them to be happy. He loves to take them to Disney Land, he coaches their soccer teams, he likes to read to them, he loves to tease them, he'll even watch Hannah Montana with them, he just plain loves to be with them. My children love their dad so much. Each day they get excited when they hear the garage door open, each day they smile when he teases them, and each day they are better people because of his example. I love the father of my children.

This is Thomas, the man of my dreams, the man that makes me happy, the man that calls me his queen, the man that works so hard for me, but most importantly the man that I love.

Thomas, thanks so much for being all of these things and more to me. I hope our new little man is just like you. You are my favorite!

That was sweet! It's always nice having a man that's handy. I didn't know Tommy was like that. Every time I've seen him he is very quiet and reserved.

What a sweet post. He really is great! I just cannot get over that his name is "Tommy". That day in the Morris Center, when we decided to sit by that guy and he said his name was "Thomas..." he'll always be Thomas to me!

I hope you're doing well, and the baby too!

Very sweet. It's good to acknowledge all the great things we love about our spouses, in the day to day we can sometimes overlook the good things too easily! Good job Jolene!

Ahh Jolene you love my brother. He is pretty cool but I had no idea he was that cool. He was kinda a butt to me growing up. Just Kidding, he was an awesome older brother. It's cool to hear about what a great hubby and dad he is.
