Our Easter went a little something like this......
This swell gal Tammi Sue throws a flashlight egg hunt every year. Furnished completely by her lonesome. Look at how busy that girl is, too busy working to even stop for a picture. She is the epitome of this whole night... busy hard worker and busy party girl. Oh how I love her so.
The gym gets every square inch covered in Easter egg goodness and the kids are set free with their flashlights and baskets.
And then the bartering began. Stiff bargains were had and I think...I think....the girls may have had their shirts pulled over their heads. There are some smart cookies that run a tough show there.
Rainier's favorite part of the night was clean-up. He had quite the grip on that duster when I tried to rip it form his hands.
The eggs were dyed Saturday morning while Thomas was on a run. While coloring away the girls enjoyed pretending I was the paparazzi taking pictures of them.... How do they know about stuff like that?
It was quite a successful process with only one large spill...hallelujah.
Easter morning the girls were awake by 6 am....we tortured them and said we were not getting out of bed until 7:30. It was totally worth it. When 7:30 rolled around we made them sit down and read out of the bible....they were surprisingly very patient during that part...and then they were off like rockets...
and jet planes.
And in the end they all seemed happy with their loot.
Even this little guy who then spent the whole weekend cracked up on a jelly bean high.
It was a beautiful weekend, wonderful weather, uplifting conference, and a delicious Easter dinner with friends.

Good for you for reading the bible beforehand...a great idea.
I loved the pictures of your girls running wild for those eggs. It never gets boring does it!
