Celebrations

I remember the first Birthday I celebrated with Tommy, we were living in Colorado and he had gone skiing for the whole day. I had saved my money for awhile and had bought him a leather jacket and made him a dorky card for his 22nd Birthday. I waited all day to give it to him and was so excited when he got home and was able to open it. I think he was impressed but I honestly can't remember, I can only remember his curly hair and him looking at the card. Since then I have been able to celebrate 9 other birthdays of his and while some details are fuzzy of the ones in between, with some years only being able to afford a bag of skittles as a gift to others being able to surprise him with a LasVegas trip, I hope each and everyone of them has some sort of memory to him of how much I love him.

This one was not of any major significance, not for him I'm sure, the only significant thing for me was that it was the first time I left Rainier to be babysat, (now lets not get crazy it wasn't with a 12 year old it was with my friend Amy...thanks). I took Thomas out to Abuelo's, his favorite Mexican restaurant....well actually let me recant that, I left my wallet in my diaper bag at Amy's, so he took me out to Abuelo's for his birthday and in exchange for I guess what he expected, he left me waiting for 30 minutes by myself at the restaurant....oh how comfortable you get as the years pass on.

None the less it was a good night with pies for his birthday wish and the blog book I had made from my last years blog, it is really cool. I am so glad he enjoys those sort of things it sure makes giving him meaningful things easy. It was a great 10th birthday bash to spend with him....anytime I spend with him is great.

Happy Birthday Thomas! And love how the "Families are Forever" sign is in the background of him looking at the book. Coincidence or planned??
