Exhaustion at its fullest.

Growing up, my Dad would wake us up early in the morning and announce that instead of going to school we were going to Disneyland. You can only imagine the excitement that would bring to us, not only were we able to skip school, we were able to go to the 'happiest place on earth'. He kept up the tradition pretty much throughout my Senior year. Looking back it really does amaze me that he managed to do that for so long. After 3 full days at that place, I was totally worn out and not sure if I ever want to go back! But for the sake of the children, and our new annual passes, I am sure we will be back there in a couple of months. We had the typical Disneyland visit and sure enjoyed every second of it.

Here we are heading off for our first day of fun...can you see the excitement?

The best benefit we have in CA is all of our cousins who live so close by. Some were able to meet us there. (Thus the annual passes, it was cheaper for us to buy those than a 3 day ticket if we used my sisters address...thanks sis.) We had so much fun chasing rides and getting soaked. Thomas decided to take them all on the grizzly water ride, twice....not me, I hate getting wet. Afterwards though Thomas announced to everyone that he thought that that might just be a summer ride.

While I was watching Rainier my sister and I had a great time taking pictures of our "people watching" victims. I have to say I do have some great photos of peoples rear ends, massively long poofy hair, and subtle cleavage shots, all with my sweet sister strategically posing in front of them so I could get the 'money' shot.

While there Alli's future career plans all fell into place. No not becoming a turkey farmer so she can have all those yucky roasted turkey legs, but she did announce that she was so happy because now she did not have to make a choice of either becoming a singer or working at Disneyland... she could do both and on further introspection she could also do her other top pick; to become a vet, because she could take care of the horses there...all of her dreams were coming true! Next on to finding her Prince Charming I'm sure.

Exhaustion hit Claire hard, it normally does. While walking back to the hotel one night she decided to sit down on the ground and announced "I am not going to walk one more step, (I kept on walking) so SEE YOU, NEVER Mom!" If only I had those words recorded, it was the snottiest voice I had ever heard from her and I suddenly envisioned what my life is going to be like when the teenager years approach...however it was pretty funny and as I said "Okay" and walked away there was a blood curdling "MOM!!!" being screamed behind me and my sweet Claire bear promptly got up and walked by my side while telling me that she was never going to walk again. Whew we made it.

Exhaustion apparently settled in on me as well. I was awakened at night by Thomas asking me "Why did you do that?" What? I was just having a dream that he was being really mean to me, so naturally in my dream I swatted him. Well apparently it wasn't only in my dream, I had spanked him so hard that when he woke me up my fingers were tingling and he has been telling me he is bruised. I guess there is danger in sleeping next to your spouse.

This picture pretty much sums up Ainsley for me. She is one funny little girl and had the best time at Disneyland she was finally tall enough to hit the majority of the rides and went fearlessly on each of them. She even honored me by having me take her on the Tower of Terror for the very first time, she of course loved it!

Rainier was so happy the whole time. He is such a sweet little guy and enjoyed being pushed around in the stroller and seeing all sorts of people peeking their heads in and cooing to him. He conquered his first ride 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and went on plenty more with out the faintest hesitation.

What more can I say about this guy. He is my Mr. Incredible. I always love seeing the excitement in his eyes when he is able to share something fun and new with the kids. He works so hard for us and brings us so much happiness, he makes all my dreams come true.
(Ah shucks, sorry for the mushiness).

Aww...glad you had fun and Claire's "SEE YOU NEVER MOM!" is hilarious, made me choke almost! And yes, Pei Wei's Spring Rolls are on my list of favorite things, but I don't have a picture of them.....

That's so much fun. And love the pic of Ranier. he's so cute! let me just tell you you're lucky to have a dad that said that to get you up for school I'd get threatened with cold water and most of all wet willies. I'll never forget it. After the day of the wet willy I had my own personal alarm clock so that never happened again!

Looks like so much fun! It makes me want to go to Disney Land again. I guess it must be like child birth after awhile you forget about all of the hardwork and want to do it again, I wonder if I will stop after four times? Well it is official Spencer and Claire are to much alike to get married. I couldn't imagine those two stubborn kiddos together, WAR! I wonder who would give in first?
