Seeing Green.

The night before St. Patricks Day Ainsley was already pinching me because I wasn't wearing green. So since I absolutely hate being pinched I decided I better fulfill my duty.
Look at my cute little family, I only wish my cute husband was in this picture, but alas he had to be the photographer, but just know he was even wearing green.

The extent of my St. Patty's decor: Ainsley's amazing Leprechaun she made in Kindergarten and my ribbon I stole from Walmart. Well I tried not to steal it but forgot to pay for it and tried to convince the Walmart worker who was taking in carts to take it back in for me. He insisted I keep it saying it would be more work for them to put it on the shelf than it was worth. Do you think they feel this way about everything on their shelves? If so I could probably help them out with that.

Anyways our green Hawaiian Punch and yummy desert. With black bean, corn and tomato salad and salmon on rice pilaf. I couldn't stomach green spaghetti or anything like that. My kids didn't even complain once about the meal, maybe I should entice them with a pudding desert more often their plates were practically licked clean.

It was fun to do a little something extra and it's always fun to see the girls get excited. They were so excited yesterday that while I was taking a quick nap they told me leprechauns had come and messed up our house. Those naughty leprechauns turned over my ottoman, put duct tape on my floor and crushed, yes crushed, cinnamon toast crunch cereal on my floor. Also found was a long locke of blonde hair, apparently for the leprechaun's beard. You could imagine how badly I wanted to strangle those leprechauns.

Very nice...look at you. Fancy dinner and everything! Wow! We had sandwiches and grapes and nothing was green, not even the grapes. Oh well. And your salad was amazing as salsa!!!!! (four exclamation points for extra excitement.) And those crazy leprechauns...naughty, naughty!

What a great mama you are. So festive! You guys have such a beautiful family. I remember my cat having kittens when I was young. Super fun memories, but just wait for the tears when they go to new homes....
