Stay Cool

This morning was spent not cleaning my house like I should have done, but instead looking through JR High yearbooks and laughing at how stupid you are in 8th grade. I had quite a few laughs perusing through all of the photos and reading all of the comments from the ever inspirational year book signing, most of them ending with the signage "Stay Cool," "Stay Sweet," or "Stay Funny". Aaahhh the memories of 8th grade when you're on top of the world.

Here is Thomas' yearbook page, I am enjoying the wave he has going on and really, really enjoying the humongous wave of bangs pictured on about 40% of the females on this page...I wish I had those. Also take special note that above his picture there is "Babe!" written above his picture in pink. I did extensive detective work and have traced that writing back to one Stephanie Crook who signed his yearbook multiple times usually saying "Hey Sexy, " or other confidence building adjectives. Glad she is out of the picture now.

Alas mine is not as exciting, no big bangs for me, but I do see a few pictured above, I think it was out of style by the time I reached the top of JR High-dom. I do specifically remember signing yearbooks with the notage "May your life be like a roll of toilet paper: long and useful." Classic. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't find my picture in the yearbook until it finally dawned on me I was looking for Jolene Gearhart and not my maiden name...apparently the years of mommy-dom have definitely worn on me.
It was a pleasant morning, taking a trip down memory lane...now off to folding laundry. Blah!

Ha! Too cute~ love the pics. That's hilarious that you were looking for your married name! And here I am reading blogs instead of cleaning or editing or any of those things I should be doing.

Hahaha...I love it! I would have probably done the same thing...look for my married instead of my maiden. Love the pics & all the big hair! How fun! Love memory lane! Also should be cleaning/washing bottles/doing laundry...but reading blogs is way more fun! :)
