I challenged the girls that if the could do a said task for two weeks I would reward them at the end with a pedicure.
Allison's challenge: Stop biting nails (I cheated a bit and gave her a few reminders/chances.)
Claire's challenge: Stop whining and arguing with me... I think she is going to be the star of a debate team some day. (Also gave her some chances and a lot of reminding.)
Ainsley's challenge: Stop whining/crying especially when it was time to do homework. (Second, third, and fourth reminders and probably a little more were necessary for this task.)
As you can see only two out of the three accomplished their goal.
Nail biting is a hard habit to quit apparently.
Thus Claire and Ainsley anxiously awaited the day and were lucky
enough to go in dad's fun little car.
They were thrilled to find out that they could pick out their own color and went from neon greens, to purples, pinks and blues finally deciding on the above colors.
I chose this place because of the awesome children's pedi-chairs they have. They come equipped with a mini DVD player, apparently to spoil the pampered child even more.
Here are the girls thoroughly enjoying their relaxing massage chairs and movie, all the while soaking their feet and being pampered to the extreme.
And the finished product, Claire's blue with purple 'diamonds' made into a flower.
And Ainsley's purpley pink, with pink 'diamond' flowers.
The girls felt super special and I wish I could say that the good habits have been full heartily established in our home. Unfortunately not, and I'm not sure I can afford to bribe them like this every week. But it was a good two weeks and a great time. I sure love those girlies and can't wait to take Alli at some point.
Now I think it's time for an incentive for me...I wonder what I can talk Thomas into so I can get a pedicure. :)

Oh! So fun! I love the chairs and DVD players. And their toes look fab. Claire proudly showed me hers yesterday! They were beautiful.
You just need to say I haven't seen Abby in awhile and so I am meeting her at noon on Saturday!!!!
That is a great inncentive. I did get Savanna to quit biting her nails for a summer, after the pedicure, it was back to nail biting.
Such a good idea. I wonder if my boys would want a pedicure?
WOW that is a great idea! I love pedicures, only they tickles super bad so I have to get my courage up when I go!
It doesn't look like any of you were in my predicament!
I'm so jealous! I don't know if I'd rather have a daughter of my own to take to pedicures, or if I would like to be your daughter so I could go and sit in those cute little chairs!
