Tragedy has struck the Gearhart household.
Last week, Rainier's hair looked like this, a bit stringy and long, but still soft and very much baby like.
receive his first trim. Trim being the word to remember.
Thomas assured me he knew what he was doing,
he is a boy after all and would know what to do.
This is me recognizing that he really didn't and
proclaiming my "No!!!!" in dissatisfaction.
Alas it was too late, and his daddy finished the job.
And my sweet 6 month old got his first trim and his first summer buzz all in one swift turn.
I on the other hand was sad for the rest of the night, but tried to remind myself how quick they grow and am hoping his hair returns promptly as well.
Special thanks to Allison for being my photog for most of this disastrous journey. Well done my love, well done.

He looks super handsome!!!! What a milestone and the first of many haircuts to come in his life. So sad too!!
Wow! I can't believe how long it was...it will grow back fast, don't worry.
Wow that haircut ages him at least 2 weeks. Wait until he gets a bit older and the sound of the trimmers makes him SCREAM. That makes for really good pics.
The look on his face is priceless. It is like he knew what had been done to him.
hilarious! i let my boys hair grow for far too long because i don't want to be the cause of such disasters.
Darin and I did the same thing to Connor at 8 mos old. . . Shawn was so mad at me, but I couldn't handle the stringy mess! Rainier looks amazing - and you will be very happy with the hair that grows back.
Never let a bald man convience you that he knows anything about hair.
