Hula

Every year our elementary school puts on a Daddy Daughter Dance. This was the first year where all three girls attended. Their enthusiasm for such a night is a bit hard to describe, but let me tell you I had no problem convincing them to do their chores, finish their homework, and shower well before the time before Thomas even arrived home. They scrupulously choose their dresses, trying to make sure it in some way went along with the Luau theme and were eager to get all 'dolled' up for their favorite man.
Below are their comments of what they thought of the dance.
Allison: "The music was soooooo loud, I think my eardrums are broken. Seriously I can't hear you right now, they hurt."

Claire: "Psycho, psycho, psycho!"
Screaming this as she is running around my bedroom.
I'm not sure where she learned this word but apparently she was chalked full up on cookies and soda.

Ainsley: Just a sweet smile given.
Mom: "But how was it, did you have fun, did you like it?"
Ainsley: "Mmmm Hmmm" nodding her head yes....

Mom: "Dad what was your favorite thing about the daddy daughter luau?"
Dad: "What? Ummm doing the funky chicken."
and upon further introspection:
"That and when it was the daddy daughter slow dance, having three girls to dance with while all three were trying to stand on my feet."
